A Vacant Chair waits for everyone – some place, some time, somewhere.
It waits patiently for our return and never wonders why it’s there.
The Chair knows it has a purpose, however humble that may be.
It knows it will be needed, in one day, one week … or three.

It’s owner may have left to find adventure, with no intention to come back.
They may be just around the corner, buying something that they lack.
Or their God may have finally called them, to walk through those pearly gates.
But not realising what’s happened, the Vacant Chair patiently waits.

It knows someone, somewhere will need it, to offer comfort, warmth and rest.
To give shelter from a weary world, in their own safe and cosy nest.
Without judgement the Vacant Chair gives support to those who are in need.
Whether simple wooden, padded, or designer made, it is a true friend indeed.
